Scots teen seriously injured in 'disturbance' after bike nicked in Glasgow

A teenager has been seriously injured following a 'disturbance' not long after his bike was nicked in Glagsow.

The incident took place in Tollcross Road, in the city's east end at around 9.45pm on Wednesday April 21.

Just forty minutes beforehand, the teen's bike was stolen in nearby Altyre Street.

The victim's current medical condition is yet to be confirmed.

Police are yet to reveal further details surrounding the disturbance.

While it has not been confirmed that the two incidents were linked, officers said that enquiries are ongoing into whether this is the case.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Record: "At around 9.45pm on Wednesday, April 21 police were called after 17-year-old man was seriously injured following a disturbance on Tollcross Road, Glasgow.

"The man's bike had been stolen earlier, around 9.05pm on Altyre Street, Tollcross, Glasgow.

"Enquiries are ongoing into both incidents and as to whether they are linked."
