Scots teen's ear 'ripped off' in brutal attack inside his own car

Police are hunting a group of thugs after a teenager had part of his ear ripped off in a brutal attack.

Cody Crossan needed 11 stitches to sew his ear back together after being 'jumped' at around 10.20pm on Sunday.

Four yobs pounced while the Fife teenager was inside his own car , picking a friend up on Overton Road.

The 19-year-old took to Facebook in a bid to track his attackers down.

Cody, from Kirkcaldy, posted a gruesome photo of his ear, covered in blood and stitched back together.

He wrote: "So I was just jumped in my own car and had the top part of my ear ripped off.

"Police will be contacted about this."

Cody, who also claims he was punched around 30 times in the head, drove to Victoria Hospital before calling the police.

He told the Evening Telegraph : "This lad grabbed hold of it and just pulled. He ripped the top of my ear right off.”

“There was blood pouring everywhere.

"Doctors gave me 11 stitches to put my ear back together.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Enquiries are underway following the report of a serious assault in Kirkcaldy last night.

“At around 10.20pm a 19-year-old man was assaulted while in his car.

“He attended Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy where he was treated for a head injury."
