Scots teen missing for days and thought to have travelled to London found safe and well

A Scots teenager who had been missing for nearly a week has been found safe and well, police have confirmed.

Abdul Sarwar, from Whitburn, was last seen in Bathgate around 9.30am on Monday December 6.

The 16-year-old was thought to have travelled to London from his home in West Lothian.

Inspector Kylie Barnard of Livingston Police Station said officers had been growingly increasingly concerned for Abdul’s wellbeing.

However, officers have now confirmed he has been found.

Posting on their official Facebook page, they thanked people for helping in their bid to locate him.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We are pleased to confirm that Abdul Sarwar has been traced safe and well.

"We would like to thank the public for their assistance."
