Scots teen dad-to-be missing for over two weeks leaving family 'extremely distressed'

A Scots teen dad-to-be has been missing for over two weeks leaving his family 'extremely distressed'.

Jamie Cannon vanished from his home in Saltcoats after being last seen on May 20th at around 10am on Kinnier Road.

Police said it was 'completely out of character' for 19-year-old tot not be in contact with his friends and family.

Jamie has never been missing before sparking concern as detectives frantically search for the teenager.

Local officers have been assisted by specialist officers, including search advisors and the dog unit, but there have been no further sightings of him.

He is described as being 6ft 1ins tall, with short dark hair. When he was last seen he was wearing grey jogging bottoms, grey trainers, a blue jacket and was carrying a camouflage backpack.

Sergeant Allen Dodds said: “Despite previous appeals and extensive searches and enquiries to trace Jamie, we have been unable to locate him.

"As time goes on, we are extremely concerned as he has never been missing before and it is entirely out of character for him not to keep in contact with his family and friends.

“Understandably, his family is extremely distressed by his disappearance and just want to know that he is safe and well.

"I would urge anyone who has seen Jamie, or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us as soon as possible through 101 quoting reference 1623 of 22 May.”
