Scots teen clocked driving at 111mph on A90 just days after passing test by shocked cops

A Scots teenager has allegedly been caught driving at 111mph on a busy dual carriageway just weeks after passing his driving test.

Officers from the North East Roads division clocked the motor, which was being driven by a 17-year-old, on the A90 near Stonehaven on Saturday morning.

They shared an image of the shocking result on the speed gun on social media while warning other drivers to obey the limit over the weekend.

They tweeted: “Please enjoy the nice weather sensibility this weekend.

“Don't ruin it like the 17-year old-driver on the A90 near Stonehaven who was caught doing 111mph despite passing his test less than a month ago.”

Newly-qualified drivers face a ban from the roads if they rack up a total of six or more points within two years of passing their test.
