A schoolboy has been charged after a teenager was allegedly 'stabbed' in Livingston leaving him hospitalised.
Emergency services raced to Ogilvie Way after the alarm was raised at around 5.20pm on Thursday February 18.
Police say a 15-year-old boy was 'seriously assaulted' in the incident before being rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children in Edinburgh.
A 14-year-old boy has now been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged attack.
Officers have launched an investigation and enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.20pm on Thursday, 18 February, officers were called to a report of a 15 year-old boy seriously assaulted in Ogilvie Way, Livingston.
"Officers attended and he was taken by Ambulance to the Royal Hospital for Children in Edinburgh.
"A 14 year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection with this incident and a report will be sent to the relevant agency.”
