A Scots taxi driver had his hand slashed as he tried to get away from a knife-wielding passenger in Dundee.
The man had picked up a fare in St Andrews Street before driving to Morgan Street between 9.30am and 9.45am on Monday, May 3.
But when they arrived at their destination, the baseball cap-wearing passenger pulled out a blade and demanded money from the terrified driver.
He managed to get out of the grey Skoda Octavia and away from the suspect but suffered a hand injury during the process.
The would-be thief made off along Park avenue and towards Baxter Park before being lost from sight.
Officers are keen to trace the man who is described as being white, in his 30s, around 5ft 8 with a slim build.
He was wearing a black face mask, a black cap, a black zip up jacket and bottoms while also speaking with a local accent.
Detectives also say he appeared to have a dark beard or stubble.
