Scots street locked down as emergency services race to two-vehicle crash

A Scots street has been locked down as emergency services raced to a two-vehicle crash.

Newtoft Street in Edinburgh has been closed by cops due to the incident.

Police confirmed that they had been called out to the crash at about 2.15pm.

Motorists have been urged to avoid the area until the incident has been dealt with.

It is not known if there have been any injuries, and emergency services remain on-scene now.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called out to a two-vehicle crash on Newtoft Street at about 2.15pm.

"Emergency services remain on-scene."

Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
