A Scots schoolgirl has appeared alongside some famous faces in a touching new video to mark Down's Syndrome Awareness Day.
The eight-year-old appears in the clip and joins celebrities such as The Vamps, comedian Rob Beckett, former Bucks Fizz star, Cheryl Baker, TV presenter Melvin Oodom and Wayne Lineker, amongst others.
The Irvine youngster appears signing the lyrics to The Vamps' hit 'Somebody To You'.
The video was compiled by 15-year-old Isabella Evans, from Wales, whose younger brother Lucus, eight, has Down's syndrome and she was keen to raise awareness of the condition and of makaton sign language which is used in the video.
Isabella, who has her own social media pages under the name Isabella Signs where she teaches and shares videos of her signing, says she was keen to have Chloe involved and praised her as a 'national treasure'.
She said: "Chloe is a little superstar and she brought so much to the video she’s truly a national treasure."
Chloe's mum Jade said she was thrilled Chloe could take part. She said: "Isabella and her mum got in contact asking if Chloe would like to take part. When she explained what the project was and I told Chloe. She got very excited and couldn’t wait to learn the signs and film her part!
"The end result is just amazing honestly, especially because Isabella is only just 15 and she’s organised and put it all together herself.
"It’s great to see celebs getting involved, but the main goal is to showcase children and adults with Down's Syndrome which I feel the video does really well.
"Campaigns and projects like this one are so important as it helps to break stereotypes surrounding Down's Syndrome. Having a variety of children and adults with DS in the video, with all different abilities is also so important - it helps to reinforce that all people with Down's Syndrome are important and they matter. It’s overall just a wee great video!"
Isabella said: "I was inspired by my brother Lucus who has Down syndrome. I also have a brother, Alexander, who is 11 and he has cerebral palsy, so I started to teach myself sign.
Then, four years ago when I was 11 I set up my Isabella Signs social media pages to help others access sign in a fun and easy way.
"I have over 500k followers across my platforms and I’ve been lucky enough to get lots of celebrities doing a sign of the day for me in the past including David Tennant who signed super hero for me."
Realising her celebrity pals might help her reach a wider audience, Isabella convinced them to take part in the video.
She said: "I reached out to James McVey from The Vamps to do a sign of the day and from there I asked him about my project idea and he thought it was a great idea and once he was onboard, he sorted the other vamps.
"I then reached out to other celebs and some of those helped me fill in some gaps, once I knew I had enough celebs signing a line to the vamps song somebody to you I then reached out to the children, including Chloe, to ask if they would take part.
"Then as the clips started coming in I edited them and put the video together I’m so proud of everyone involved and how the whole thing came together to celebrate Down's Syndrome and raise awareness of World Down's Syndrome Day 2021."
