Scots sparky chucked axe at house after being told to 'p*** off'

A sparky is facing jail after hurling an axe at someone's house.

Derek Enterkin, 33, turned up in a taxi at the property in Camelon, Stirlingshire, and challenged the householder William McPhee to come out and fight.

When Mr McPhee wouldn't do so - and told him to "p*** off" - Enterkin went back to the cab and pulled the two-foot-long black axe from the back of the taxi and threw it at Mr McPhee's home.

He said something about just being released from prison, and told Mr McPhee: "To be honest, Anthony sent me here to break up your stuff."

Prosecutor Michael Maguire said: "The accused was standing on the pavement, and the axe was not thrown far."

He then picked up the axe, got back in the taxi, and was drive off.

The incident happened in Fairlie Street, Camelon, about 4.05 pm on August 21st, 2019, when Mr McPhee was at home watching afternoon TV with two other members of his family.

Mr Maguire said Enterkin appeared to be "under the influence of something" at the time of the incident.

At Falkirk Sheriff Court on Wednesday afternoon, Enterkin, a self-employed electrician, of Denny, Stirlingshire, pleaded guilty on indictment to a statutory breach of the peace.

Sheriff Wyllie Robertson deferred sentence until June 10th for reports.

He continued bail but warned Enterkin: "Clearly all options remain open."
