Scots share lockdown haircuts at home - but a rabbit comes out top of the crops

Hairdressers, barbers and beauty salons have closed their doors during coronavirus lockdown - but that hasn't stopped Scots from trimming their locks.

People desperate for a new do have decided to take matters into their own hands amid self-isolation with DIY haircuts on family members with hilarious results.

We asked readers to share their coronavirus cuts - and these dodgy crops will no doubt have you laughing.

While some may have discovered a hidden talent with trimmers, others should stay well away from the scissors and prove it's best to leave these things to the professionals.

Graeme Sharp, 34, from Linwood, Paisley, decided to test out his trimmer on his brown locks.

But it ended in disaster with just one stripe shaved down his head - let's hope this doesn't become a new trend.

Martyn Bell, of Glasgow, decided to take the scissors to his pet rabbit for an adorable new fringe (Martyn Bell/Facebook)

Meanwhile, Shonagh Bell, who is a keeper at Blair Drummond Safari Park, worked her animal magic on her three-year-old pet rabbit Daisy.

Her husband Martyn Bell, from Clydebank, shared their pet's adorable new fringe and fresh new look.

Christine Mclaughlin, from Wishaw, shared a photo of her son Rio's bizarre new buzzcut, leaving just his long fringe.

She said the teenager was "loving his new Ronaldo look" - but the hilarious photo of his glum face says otherwise.

Jamay Beveridge, from Dunfermline, appears happy to show off his new lockdown mohawk (Jamay Beveridge/Facebook)

Jamay Beveridge, from Dunfermline, took hairstyling into his own hands and went to go for a mohawk to match his impressive moustache.

Elsewhere, Brian Boyle, from Alexandria, shared a photo of his son's dodgy half-finished haircut and said: "Make sure you charge the clippers before you start folks."
