A former teacher who ruined pupils’ lives by subjecting them to sexual abuse over nearly two decades was jailed for three years yesterday.
Andrew Wilson was put on the sex offenders’ register for the rest of his life after he admitted he started to abuse kids in his care almost 50 years ago.
Victims wept and embraced outside court after Wilson was finally brought to justice after he was first investigated by police in 2008.
At Perth Sheriff Court, Wilson, 74, of Ceres, Fife, admitted carrying out sex attacks on three boys aged 12-16 between August 1974 and 1993 at Arbroath High School and other locations.
Wilson was struck off by the General Teaching Council in February 2011.
