A girl was left standing in seawater after becoming trapped on rocks off the Dumfries and Galloway coast.
The young beachgoer was caught out by the rising tide shortly before 10am on Wednesday sparking a rescue operation.
Crews from RNLI Silloth and Kippford were called to the scene at Southerness where they found the girl trapped around 300 metres offshore.

She was helped into the lifeboat and taken to dry land where she found to thankfully be unharmed from her ordeal.
Sharing photographs from the rescue, the crew said: “Silloth RNLI lifeboat was launched today 7 July at 09:55 to a person stranded on rocks, cut off by the tide at Southerness, Scotland.
“The volunteer crew arrived on scene at 10:09, by which time the casualty was standing in seawater about 300 meters offshore.
“The crew aided the girl to safety and got her onto the lifeboat.
“Steven Henderson the senior helm at Silloth RNLI lifeboat was then able to manoeuvre the boat through the rocks and drop the casualty close to the shore.
“A member of the crew then accompanied the girl safely onto the beach, where Portling Coastguard was waiting.
“If you see anyone in trouble on the coast, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. Check the times of the tide and don’t walk out too far.
“Have a phone with you, so that you are able to contact someone if you get into trouble.”
