Scots schoolgirl ‘assaulted in unprovoked attack’ while walking dog

A schoolgirl has been allegedly assaulted in an unprovoked attack while walking her dog in Annan.

The 12-year-old was walking in the town at around 9pm on Saturday when she was reportedly attacked by a male.

The alleged assault took place near to the close that runs from Scotts Street to Queensway.

Officers are looking to identify a man around 20 years old, 5ft 2 in height, well built, with short brown hair.

He is described as wearing brown trousers, a white t-shirt and trainers. He also has a star cut into his hair near to his right temple.

Constable Scott Graham, based in Annan, said: “The victim was not injured as a result as a result of the assault, however was clearly shaken-up.

“I would ask anyone who believes they may know the identity of the attacker, or who witnessed the assault to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 4298 of 07/09/2019.”
