Scots schoolboy,6, hospitalised after being struck by motorbike

A schoolboy has been struck by a motorcycle in Johnstone.

The six-year-old was knocked down on a residential street in the town on Monday evening around 5.35pm.

The horror smash happened on Greenend Avenue before emergency services rushed the child to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

He was treated for a non-life threatening injury to is leg.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a collision involving a boy and a motorcyclist on Greenend Avenue, Johnstone, around 5.35pm on Monday, 8 June, 2020.

"The six-year-old boy was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with a non-life threatening leg injury."
