A restaurant boss who claimed he was bullied by Chelsea stars David Luiz and Willian into rebranding has had a business boom.
Roberto Cecchetti dropped the name Babbo for Banco after a wrangle with lawyers acting for the Brazilian pair in a trademark row.
The 48-year-old put up his new signage on Friday – days after Chelsea stars Willian and David Luiz 'bullied Scots restaurant into name change in bitter trademark row' and ordered him to make changes on April Fool’s Day.
The Stamford Bridge heroes own a restaurant in Mayfair also called Babbo.
It was claimed that Roberto had breached trademark laws by calling his venue in Giffnock, near Glasgow, by the same name.
But he said: “I was worried the sudden change would affect business but things have been very positive.

“I’ve had a lot of support from people in the area who have got right behind me.
“I was treated harshly and the drama was something I could have done without.
“But something positive has emerged from something negative.”

Roberto opened Babbo in March 2016 while millionaire footballers Luiz and Willian were unveiled as partners in their restaurant last April.
Lawyers told Roberto to hand over his business’s internet domain before taking control of his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages on April 1, forcing him to rebrand within 24 hours.
Roberto added: “It was a very stressful week.
“Their tactics were very heavy-handed, especially when I offered to compromise.”
