A Scots reservoir will remain closed at the weekend as a recovery operation for a missing swimmer continues.
A man was seen to get into difficulty in the water around 5.35pm on Wednesday at Thriepmuir Reservior, near Balerno.
Emergency services launched a large-scale rescue operation as search boats were drafted in to help.

It is understood the man lives in the Edinburgh area and he was said to have been enjoying a day out with friends when he disappeared.
Despite extensive efforts so far, the search for the missing man remains ongoing as police confirmed the reservoir would remain closed in the following days.
Police are urging the public to avoid the area as they continue to search the water as well as the surrounding land.
Chief Inspector Scott Richardson said: “A recovery operation which has been being carried out at Thriepmuir Reservior near Balerno after a man was seen to get into difficulties in the water around 5.35pm on Wednesday, 14 July, remains ongoing.
“Emergency services have been conducting searches using both marine and land units and these will continue into the weekend. The man’s family are being kept fully informed.
“Threipmuir Resevior Car Park on Mansfield Road is to remain closed to the public in the coming days to allow for emergency service access, along with the footpath around the reservoir.
