Scots police issue appeal for man missing for two days

Police have launched an appeal for information on a 47-year-old man who has been missing for more than two days.

Alan Burness, of Dingwall, was last seen walking south on Grampian Road in Aviemore, more than 40 miles away, at around 9.50am on Saturday May 20.

Officers from Highland Division have issued a photograph of him alongside a description: he is said to be 5ft 10ins in height, of slim build, with brown hair.

When last seen he was wearing a dark-coloured anorak and jeans. Officers have urged anyone with information on his potential whereabouts to get in touch as soon as possible.

Sergeant John Beverly, of Dingwall Police Station, said: “We would appeal to anyone who may have seen Alan or has any information on his whereabouts to please contact police.

“Information can be passed to officers via 101 quoting incident number 1925 of 22 May, 2023.”
