A picture tweeted out by a Fife police division has gone viral after the cops warned that recent snowy weather could easily expose criminal activity.
Levenmouth Police tweeted out a picture of a property which had melted snow on the roof due to the heat coming from a hidden cannabis farm that was growing in the attic.
For the last week, Scotland has been in and out of constant weather warnings for snow and ice, but the Fife cops warned that the freezing conditions could expose the high temperatures needed to grow the Class B drug within a home.
The picture posted by the Scots cops was originally taken by police in the Netherlands, who managed to bust cannabis growers by inspecting snow-free patches at their property.
Levenmouth Police tweet the picture, penning: "As temperatures drop, take care on those roads and mind yer cannabis plantation might no be as well hidden tae.. #HashInTheAttic #BlawPatrol #BabyItsColdOutside #OpProspect."
The post has since gone viral on Twitter racking up three thousand retweets and 16.7 thousand likes.

It comes as Edinburgh Live reported how a cannabis farm was raided earlier this week in Leith. Five police vans raced to the scene at the junction of Casslebank Street.
A spokesperson said: "Officers are currently in attendance at an address in Leith Walk in Edinburgh after the discovery of what is understood to be a cannabis cultivation. Enquiries are ongoing in the matter."
