Scots travel firms are playing a waiting game as bookings soar in other parts of the UK.
Thousands more flights have been laid on since the UK Government published its green list of countries where quarantine will not be necessary.
But companies north of the Border have yet to feel the impact as they await news of the Scottish Government’s plans for international travel.
Nicola Sturgeon has said she hoped the country would return “to something much more like normality, over the course of July”.
And she added that the Scottish Government would “continue to work with the UK Government to try to agree a common approach to international travel in the weeks and months ahead”.
That has led to Scots remaining hesitant about booking holidays, while elsewhere in the UK bookings have soared by up to 600 per cent.
Vanessa Good, director of Scottish travel firm The Good Travel Company, said: “The mood from clients in Scotland is a cautious one.
"We have a list of people ready to book but as of yet we have not been given a date from the First Minister for Scottish passengers and many people are continuing to wait.
“I do believe we will have more clarity next week.”
A Scottish Government spokesman said: “The First Minister has previously said that international travel restrictions won’t be relaxed until May 17 at the earliest. This is being kept under review.”
