Concerns have been raised for a Scots photographer feared to be missing in the Highlands after he was last seen more than two weeks ago.

Paul Cairney left his home in The Brae, Bannockburn, on Wednesday July 15 and is thought to have travelled up north to take pictures of bothies.

The 59-year-old is described as 5ft 7in, with short greying hair and wears glasses.

It is not known what Paul is currently wearing but police believe it will likely be outdoor clothes and he may be carrying a rucksack with camping gear.

Members of the public are being asked to keep an eye out for Paul and to get in touch with police if they have any information on his whereabouts.

Constable Graeme Boyle, said: “Paul is a keen walker and camper and may have travelled some distance, including across the Highlands and Islands, to pursue his hobby of visiting and photographing bothies.

“If anyone has seen Paul we urge them to get in touch with us. Likewise, if Paul sees this appeal we ask him to contact us to let officers know that he is safe and well.

“If you have information that could help find Paul please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1980 of Thursday, 30 July.in”
