A pervert was snared by cyber crime cops for possessing child sex abuse images after he accessed sick videos and photos through WhatsApp.
Brian Harding’s sordid collection on his mobile phone depicted the abuse of girls as young as eight.
The 53-year-old, from Tranent in East Lothian, shared one of the videos through the app.
Harding appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.
He admitted possessing the indecent images and videos between October 2018 and March last year.
Harding also pled guilty to distributing material on February 23 last year.
Sheriff John Mundy deferred sentence until next month and placed him on the sex offenders’ register.
