A sexual deviant was ousted from his home by an angry mob.
The end-terrace of paedophile Tristram Tolmie was encircled by a self-styled group of predator hunters.
Police were called as the 31-year-old cowered inside.
He’d been unmasked 12 days earlier when he appeared in court.
His home in the Dean Park area of Renfrew was surrounded.
A mob apparently called Fighting Justice Against Predators taunted him, shouting “beast get out”.
Around ten police officers arrived to contain the situation around 7pm.
They kept guard as Tolmie was asked to leave for his own safety.
He emerged bowed, holding his hoodie down over his forehead.
His home is opposite grassy amenity land.
The woman who shot a video of the direct action said: “He is getting removed from an area which is full of kids.
“Kids play here on a regular basis and no-one wants him here.
“Everyone wants him out, that’s the reason we are
here.
“Unfortunately the neighbours never knew what he was until we all turned up.”
The organised group did not cause any trouble.
They assured officers they did not have any missiles they could throw at Tolmie.
They then bellowed “beast” and “get the beast out”.
Officers had to keep the mob back from a patrol car as Tolmie was put in the back and driven to a safe house.
They cheered for “getting him out the street”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said : “Around 7pm on Wednesday, 4 August, 2021, police were called to a report of a crowd gathered outside a property in Dean Park, Renfrew.
“The group dispersed after engagement with officers and there was no further police action required.”
The Paisley Daily Express revealed twisted Tolmie had appeared at the town’s sheriff court on July 23.
He was snared with horrific images of babies being sexually abused and has been placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register.
More than 500 photos and videos were found and it emerged he had been hoarding the images at the Renfrew house for six years.
Police swooped in October and he admitted the computer gear containing the disgusting material was his.
The court was told these was a mixture of Category A, B and C images and movies. Many depicted girls aged between ten and 15 years old. However, some of the Category A material featured the baby girls aged from six months.
Other files depicted the sexual exploitation of young girls aged between three and 14.
Tolmie pleaded guilty to possessing indecent photographs of children between September 15, 2014 and October 14, 2020.
He had been given bail, banned from any contact with children under 16 and will be sentenced later this week.
