A Scots pensioner has scooped £1million in the Irish Lottery.
The OAP, who's asked to remain anonymous, got lucky during a visit to an Edinburgh Ladbrokes on May 29.
A spokesperson could not reveal the exact location of the bookies.
Ladbrokes revealed that the winner turned just three pounds into a whopping £1million jackpot.
They placed three one pound bets in the Irish Lotto draws.
The selected numbers were 9, 21, 29, 31, 39 and 41, all of which came out in the third and final draw.
A total of £1,020,650 was won.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "The Irish Lotto is incredibly popular with punters.
"We're delighted to have made one of our customers a millionaire last weekend."
It comes after a lucky UK ticket-holder came forward to claim the £111 million EuroMillions jackpot.
Players were urged to check their tickets after a winner matched all five numbers as well as the two Lucky Stars in the draw on June 4.
The National Lottery has now confirmed a claim has been received - making the ticket-holder a millionaire overnight and scooping the nation's ninth biggest ever lottery win.
The verification process will now begin and there will be no information on where the UK winner is from or where they bought the ticket.
It is also not known if it is an individual or a syndicate winner, unless the ticket-holder decides to go public.
