Scots pensioner killed after horror car crash in Paisley

A Scots pensioner has died after a horror crash in Paisley.

The 77-year-old man was killed when driving his grey Honda Jazz on Pegasus Way, Renfrewshire, at around 5.55pm on Friday January 29.

Emergency service raced to the scene, but sadly he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the crash only involved his car and happened near to the Arnold Clark garage on the street.

The man's name has not been released to the public but cops said family had been told the news.

Police Sergeant Jon Mochan of Road Policing Unit in Glasgow urged anyone with information or footage of the crash to come forward.

He said:“We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the relevant time. Enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances and we would also like to hear from anyone who may have dash cam footage which may assist our enquiries.”

“Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 4540 of Friday, 29 January, 2021.”
