A Scots pensioner has died in a house fire two days after Christmas .
The 72-year-old passed away on Friday, December 27 as firefighters recovered his body from the property.
Emergency services , including police and ambulance staff, raced to the home in Hirst Road, Salsburgh around 4.40pm.
The blaze was extinguished and is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesman for Police Scotland added: "A post mortem will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however it is not being treated as suspicious.
"A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
