Scots pensioner 'did not trust' man accused of murdering her, court hears

A pensioner “did not trust” the man later accused of murdering her, a court heard yesterday.

Annie Temple, 97, told a friend she believed Sandeep Patel had taken money from her.

She was found dead at home in Kinglassie, Fife, on October 25, 2019.

The High Court in Glasgow was also told Patel appeared “perfectly normal” when later discussing the death.

Patel, 38, denies murdering Annie at her home on the day her body was found.

Annie’s friend Wendy Bradbury, 78, told the trial the OAP had spoken of her doubts about. Patel, saying: “She had money gone missing. She believed the money had been taken by Mr Patel."

The trial continues.
