Scots pensioner attacked and robbed in own home as cops launch manhunt

Scots pensioner has been attacked and robbed in his own home sparking a manhunt.

The 82-year-old man had been at his home on Fells Rigg, Livingston, at around 6.45pm on Saturday, November 6, when the incident happened.

A man managed to get into the property where he assaulted the pensioner and robbed him of a two-figure sum of cash.

The thug is described as being white, around 5ft 10in tall, of a medium build and in his late 20s.

He had untidy brown hair, was clean shaven, spoke in a local accent and was wearing a jacket and trousers.

DS John Bowerbank said: “This was a reprehensible attack on a man within his own home and we are working to identify the man responsible.

“We would urge anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity or who recognises the man descried to get in touch.

“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage from the area.

“Anyone who can help can call 101, quoting incident 3369 of 6 November, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
