Scots fans were left cringing last night as Glasgow's controversial razor gangs the Billy Boys made their debut on hit drama Peaky Blinders.
Viewers were less than impressed with the Glaswegian accents attempted by Irishman Brian Gleeson, who took on the role of Billy Boys hardman Jimmy McCavern, and his Bridgeton gang.
In their brutal first scenes, MCavern and the boys delivered a bloody message to Birmingham kingpin- Thomas Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy - and their accent was just as criminal as their actions, according to fans.

After watching the gang brutally crucify and shoot dead gypsy fighter Bonnie Gold in front of his devastated dad Aberama - fans took to Twitter to hit out at what they had just watched.
Fan Fraser posted on Twitter: 'Amazing episode of Peaky Blinders tonight but that Glaswegian accent was criminal.'
Laura Smith agreed. She said: "Peaky Blinders was a bit uncomfortable last night!!

"Bit disappointed they didn't cast an actual Glaswegian for the Billy Boys leader though. No disrespect to the actor playing him, but the accent was not good!"
