Two men have appeared in court charged with leaving another man scarred for life in a knife attack after forcing their way into a flat.
Jordan Anderson and Jordan Thomson are alleged to have trapped Daniel McAdam under a door after smashing their way inside the property in question.
Prosecutors claim Anderson, 19, and Thomason, 22, committed the offence in Grampian Avenue, Paisley, near Glasgow, on Valentine's Day.
They are said to have "repeatedly kicked the door to gain entry to said dwellinghouse" on February 14 this year, causing the door to become "detached" and trapping Mr McAdam underneath.
It's alleged they then rained punches on his head, followed him into a bedroom and rained blows on his head and body "with a knife or similar instrument" leaving him injured and scarred for life.
Co-accused Amy McArthur, 19, is said to have assaulted a woman named Mia Russell on the same occasion, by striking her on the head with a glass, leaving her injured.
All three made their first court appearance in connection with the allegations at Paisley Sheriff Court this week, making no plea to the single charge against them.
The case was continued for prosecutors to investigate further, during the private hearings, and all three were released on bail with special conditions - banning them from going to the scene of the alleged attacks or approaching the alleged victims.
No future court dates have been set, but they are expected to go on trial in due course, subject to delays to the justice system caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
