Outlander star Sam Heughan had a bawl mucking around with metal detectors behind the scenes of his Men in Kilts show.
But it’s a far cry from his role as Jamie Fraser on the Jacobite drama – which the Scots hunk admits is the most difficult job he’s had.
And the 40-year-old is keen for a “real acting challenge” after being cast in similar action movies.
Speaking on actor Nicola Roy‘s new podcast The Cultural Coven, he said: “Outlander is the most difficult job I’ve done. I’ve been lucky to do a couple of movies in the last few years.
“Compared to Outlander, they’re like a holiday. Outlander is brutal. It’s kind of gruelling.”
