Port Glasgow outdoor equipment firm Vango has been announced as an official sponsor for cyclist and adventurer Mark Beaumont’s Around the World in 80 Days talk tour.
Beaumont holds the record for cycling round the world record at 78 days and 14 hours and TV viewers have seen his adventures in over 100 countries, and surviving a capsize in the Atlantic.
Vango marketing director Rob Birrell said: "I am sure the tour will be a great success and we look forward to joining Mark at some of the events and hearing about his amazing adventures.”

Beaumont added: “I first worked with the team at Vango when I was a student at Glasgow University, so it’s wonderful to see how the brand has grown and evolved since then.
"I have often used Vango kit when attempting my record breaking expeditions, so I am delighted to have a new partnership in place for my upcoming UK talk tour.”
The Around the World in 80 Days talk tour takes place throughout England in May.
