Scots mums are praising a campaign that's normalising breastfeeding - one tiny business card at a time.
The Yes Mumma movement is quietly sweeping Scotland with more and more mums being touched by the 'pay-it-forward' style gestures.
The movement involves one mu handing out a tiny Yes Mumma business-style card to any mum she spots breastfeeding her baby in public. The card then encourages that mother to pass it on to the next breastfeeding mum she sees.
The tiny tangerine-coloured cards are emblazoned with the works 'Yes Mumma' on one side and on the other side it says: "Thank you for breastfeeding in public.
"You are helping normalise breastfeeding and making a real difference, not only for your child but you may have encouraged someone to proudly feed in public too.
"You're absolutely bossing it.
"Keep this card to pass on to the next mumma you see breastfeeding in public to share the love and support."
One Scots mum was approached by another woman while she breastfed her baby on Portobello Beach in Edinburgh.
She said: "To the mum on Portobello Beach who gave me this card, thank you. however you feed your babies, it's good to know the sisterhood is looking out for each other."
The project was started by mum-of-two Marie Cleaver after she was approached by a total stranger who thanked her for breastfeeding her baby son in public.
She said the woman handed her a drink and a chocolate bar, and the experience left her "feeling awesome" so she decided to pay it forward and Yes Mumma was born.
The movement now also has milestone 'boobie badges' which women can purchase and wear with pride, with different rankings, depending on how long a woman has breastfed for.
Another mum said she was delighted to have discovered the movement, adding: "I’ve just bought my golden boobies badge and some cards to hand out if/when I see ladies. These are amazing! Can’t believe I’ve only just heard of you!"
Another mum who received a card from an anonymous woman said: "I cannot wait to pass it onto someone else. It honestly made my day and was such a boost especially given some of the looks I've received. Thank you so so so much."
