A Scots supermum has risked the wrath of the Dragons’ Den judges by serving up pickled cabbage as her big business idea.

Shetland-based launched her firm specialising in vegan sauerkraut just one week before her twins were born in April last year.

The entrepreneur, who runs the company while her children are napping, will be seen squaring up to the judges on the BBC’s when the show airs this weekend.

“I was looking for an investor to come on board and give the business expertise I don’t have. It’s also a great way to introduce my sauerkraut range.”

Evonne, 31, left a career in the legal sector to found her firm, using less than £1000 of her money to buy ingredients and fermentation equipment.

She said: “I had such a tight deadline to get it on the market before I had twins. The whole pregnancy I was working hard to get it on to the market before they arrived.”

“Although I was nervous, I loved every minute of it.”
