A Scots mum has spoken of her delight after her boyfriend got down on one knee seconds after she found out she was having a baby girl at their gender reveal party.
Kevin Hunter surprised fianc é e Steph Louise Flynn and their family on a Zoom call after it was revealed they were expecting a little princess at a party on September 19.
Steph, from Motherwell, who is due her baby girl in March 2020, cried happy tears as Kevin asked her to marry him in front of their little boy Kai, 4, and their parents.
The 26-year-old, who has been with Kevin for seven years, said she was shocked by the proposal as she thought it was never going to happen.
The laboratory analyst added: "It was the biggest and best surprise ever.
"We've been together for so long, I honestly never thought it would happen so it came as a complete shock to me
"It was totally amazing, especially after just finding out we were having a little girl.
"It's been three days and I'm still crying about it!
"It was just the best proposal ever and I'm so happy."
Due to the lockdown restrictions the couple were unable to invite friends and other family members to their baby reveal.
Instead they set up a watch party online for 20 of their loved ones who were all on screen to see both both surprises unfold.
The group could be heard screaming and cheering in delight as Steph accepted Kevin's proposal.
Steph added: "It was great because it was a surprise for everyone just like the gender reveal too.
"They were all delighted for us.
"I'm just over the moon and beyond.
"I have no words it. It was just by far one of the best days of my life."
