Scots mum and toddler, 3, found 'safe and well' after urgent police search

A woman and her three-year-old son who were missing for five days have been found "safe and well".

Heather Fraser, 29, and son Jack Meldrum, from Sauchie in Clackmannanshire, were reported missing on Monday, July 27.

The pair had last been seen at Stirling railway station on Friday, July 24.

Officers from Police Scotland thanked the public for their assistance in tracing the mother and son who were found in Bolton, around 225 miles away from Sauchie.

In a statement, police said: "Heather and Jack have been traced in the Bolton area and are safe and well.

"Thank you for your assistance with this appeal."
