Scots' mouths water for Glasgow cafe's 'Cooncil Box' stuffed with smiley faces, turkey dinosaurs and curry sauce

A Glasgow cafe has gone viral with its ‘Cooncil Box’ that has come ‘directly from the local scheme’.

The culinary geniuses at Tophski’s in the south side of the city launched the unique dish yesterday - and it has already captured the imagination of punters on social media.

Included in ‘The Cooncil Box 1.0’ is sesame salt and chilli fries, salt and chilli ‘cooncil bites’ and three mozzarella sticks - all of which are topped off with some classic curry sauce.

If there is still some life remaining in the old arteries, then there is also a wrap containing turkey dinosaurs, chicken dippers, smiley faces, mini waffles, curry sauce and cheese.

The box will be available to buy at its partner eatery Lunch Glasgow in the Anniesland area.

Bosses behind the firm have featured the dish as its ‘special of the week’ and it is available for just a "short period of time".

More than 2,500 people have liked a snap of the mouthwatering dish on the firm’s Instagram.

It is not the first time that the gastronomic experts at both branches have experimented with their childhood favourites.

Earlier this year the chefs at Lunch whipped up the ‘Cooncil Melt’, which is a wrap that contains takers dinosaurs, potato smiles, chicken dippers alongside huge helpings of curry sauce, cheese and Chinese 5-spice.
