Scots mock English teen who drove 16-hour round trip to Glasgow petrol station - just for a slushie

Scots have been left astounded after a teenager drove more than 600 miles and 16 hours to buy a slush drink from a petrol station in Scotland.

The girl made the eye-brow raising road trip from England to up north after discovering a secret dessert bar going viral on social media.

The impressive Tubbees Desserts Lab, in Glasgow, has gained fame for being a slice of slushie heaven, boasting 60 flavours in an array of rainbow colours.

But it's definitely one of Scotland's hidden gems as it is tucked away inside a bang average and nondescript petrol station on Paisley Road West.

While it is seriously worth a trip if you live in the area, some Scots were left shocked at the lengths the teen went to bag a frozen drink.

The teenager, named Issy, posted a video on Tik Tok of her long road trip to the incredible dessert bar.

She said: "So I decided I wanted this slushy from this super cool looking place.

"Only issue it was an eight hour drive. I jokingly told my dad about it and he said "Ok let's go".

She later said: "Now we just drive eight hours back home".

The teen filmed her road trip up north and captured the moment she passed the Scottish border before finally sipping on the frozen drink.

And some Scots were left shocked at the crazy journey to visit the Glasgow venue, with one person even hailing it the "funniest video they'd ever seen".

One Tik Tok user reacted to the clip and said: "This person drove eight hours to go to a petrol station in Govan. GOVAN."

Another individual quipped: "Could of went to Edinburgh castle or something but no ye went to a petrol station in Govan".

One person commented: "I'm like 20 minutes away and wouldn't even risk being there longer than I need to."

One user wrote: "Imagine making an effort to go to GOVAN".

Luckily the teenager was able to see the funny side and replied: "Woah. I wasn't actually expecting this video to semi blow up and now everyone thinks I'm crazy".

She later clarified: "Well... it wasn't just for the slushie. We actually ended up visiting my elderly family who live in Scotland but yes mainly for the slushie".
