Scots man with 'three missing fingers' traced by police after disappearing in Edinburgh

A Scots man who sparked a police search after vanishing in Edinburgh last month has been found safe and well.

Concerns were raised for the welfare of Vincent Kelly who was last seen on Windsor Street in the capital on April 29.

Police launched an appeal to try to find the 45-year-old, who has three missing fingers on his right hand and speaks with a west coast accent, on May 3.

He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, grey trousers and black footwear.

Officers urged members of the public to get in touch if they had any information about his whereabouts and pointed out that he had links to East Lothian and Glasgow.

Investigators confirmed on Tuesday morning that he has now been found.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We can confirm that Vincent Kelly has been traced safe and well.

“Thank you to those who shared our earlier appeals.”
