Scots man who vanished from work in Glasgow sparks frantic search as concern grows

Police are appealing for help from the public to trace a Lanarkshire man who disappeared after leaving his work.

Stephen Clark, from Newarthill, was last seen in the Gorbals area of Glasgow at around 7.15pm on Tuesday, April 6.

Officers believe the 45-year-old may have travelled to Renfrewshire or Ayrshire later in the evening but he has so far failed to make contact with anyone.

He was last seen wearing navy blue cargo trousers, a navy jumper and polo shirt with a ‘city’ logo and black work boots.

He may have also been wearing a high vis vest and a grey hat.

Sergeant Stewart Masson said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Stephen’s welfare and are asking for assistance to help trace him safe and well.

“He may have travelled to the Renfrewshire or Ayrshire areas later in the evening and we would ask anyone who may have noticed someone matching this description to get in touch with officers.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact police by calling 101 and quoting incident number 3202 of Tuesday, 6 April, 2021.”
