Scots man vanished on Christmas Eve after leaving Glasgow Central station

An urgent search has been launched for a missing Scots man last seen on Christmas Eve.

Richard Hay has been reported missing from his home in Irvine and was last seen leaving Glasgow Central Station around 1.30pm on December 24.

The 34-year-old had arranged to meet a friend later that day for Christmas shopping but failed to turn up and did not visit his family over the Christmas weekend.

Richard is described as being around 5ft 9inches in height with brown cropped hair.

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and are urging anyone who has seen Richard to get in touch.

Sergeant Carswell of Irvine Police Office said: “We’re increasingly concerned that Richard has not contacted his family over the last few days and ask that if you know him, or his current whereabouts please contact 101 quoting incident number 1402 of 26/12, thank you.”
