Scots man missing for almost a week planned to travel to Glasgow city centre

A search has begun for a missing man from Johnstone who planned to travel to Glasgow almost a week ago but hasn't been seen since.

The family of Harry Roberts have said it's "unusual" for the 27-year-old not to be in contact.

He was last seen around 7am on North Road, Johnstone on Friday, May 13. He was reported missing to police today (Thursday).

Harry is described as White, 5 ft 5 in height, of slim build and was wearing a navy tracksuit top, bottoms and black Nike trainers.

Constable Colin McDonald, Johnstone Police Station, said: “On leaving North Road last Friday morning, Harry said that he was heading into Glasgow City Centre, however, we don’t know if indeed he did travel there.

“He’s not been in touch with family or friends since then which really unusual hence his family’s and our concern.

“If you have any information as to Harry’s whereabouts, or have any information that will help officers with trace him, then please call Johnstone Police station via 101 quoting reference number 0161 of Thursday, 19 May, 2022.

“We’d also appeal to Harry to get in touch with either his family or police to let everyone know he is safe and well.”
