Scots man caught with cocaine-filled Kinder Egg clenched between buttocks

A man noticed by police to be walking unsteadily and looking anxious was found to be clenching a cocaine-filled Kinder egg between his buttocks, a court heard today.

Alexander Hutchison, 34, was spoken to after officers in St Ninians, Stirling, then spotted he had "a white substance round his lips".

Prosecutor Cheryl Clark told Falkirk Sheriff Court: "He appeared unduly nervous.

"Half a gram of cocaine was found in a Kinder egg in his buttocks."

A search of his pockets revealed a further wrap of cocaine and another of heroin, both described as "small amounts", and a locking Stanley knife.

Hutchison, of Springkerse, Stirling, who appeared by video link from Low Moss Prison, pleaded guilty to possession of the drugs and the blade in Borestone Crescent, St Ninians, on May 8th (2021).

Sheriff Derek Hamilton continued his remand and deferred sentence until November 16th for an assessment of the risk Hutchison poses to the public.

The sheriff told Hutchison's solicitor, Virgil Crawford: "He can expect a significant custodial sentence."
