Scots Love Island winner Paige Turley reveals her toilet troubles during stay inside the villa

Scots Love Island winner Paige Turley held off going to the toilet for a poo during her first three days inside the famous ITV2 villa.

The reality TV star from West Lothian ended her lengthy wait to go for a number two by dashing into the toilet while all of the Islanders were outside.

She even went as far as to get her pals to cover up for her.

The 22-year-old spoke about her on-set toilet anxieties with Cassi Gillespie and Roisin Kelly of The Love/Hate Club podcast on BBC earlier this week.

She said: “By the third day, I think we knew everyone’s bowel movements - when you’re dating a guy, that is weird.

“I was so nervous for this and I can remember asking the producers before, ‘is it a separate girl’s toilet and a separate boys’ toilet? What’s the deal?’

“I think for the first three days I never s**t. I just had a really bloated belly.”

She added: “I waited until everybody was outside and then I would just go. The guys were just talking openly about it and got comfortable about it very quickly.

“The girls would kind of talk about it amongst ourselves but I would just dart away - or Shaughna would cover me and I would cover her.”

Paige also revealed that her Love Island partner Finn Tapp has been picking up some famous Scottish sayings while they’ve been cosied up together in their Manchester home during lockdown.

The pair have been soaking up the likes of Still Game, Kevin Bridges and even GBX as the 20-year-old from Milton Keynes tries to learn more about the finest in Scottish culture.

Paige bagged the £50,000 top prize alongside her new boyfriend, beating favourites Siânnise Fudge and Luke T, back in February in the first ever winter edition of Love Island in South Africa.

The first Scottish winner of the ITV2 show released her debut single today after news of her record deal emerged earlier this week.
