Scots Love Island winner Paige Turley gives fans top tips for villa applications

Scottish Love Island winner Paige Turley gave fans tips for their Love Island applications during a social media Q&A.

The ITV dating show winner told Instagram followers to be themselves and give as much information as possible on their forms.

The West Lothian star also issued a warning o hopefuls, telling them to be prepared for the "whirlwind" of life after the show as well as ensuring they have a good support system around them.

The 24-year-old singer already had a claim to fame as Lewis Capaldi's ex when she entered the Love Island villa in 2020, leaving fans to believe he wrote smash hit 'Someone You Loved' about her.

Paige's advice to reality TV hopefuls comes after Love Island bosses announced they will be accepting applications for non-binary contestants for the first time ever.

The show has previously been criticised for its lack of diversity in recent years, especially surrounding LGBTQ+ contestants as producers claimed it would cause "logistical difficulties".

This year, the 2022 application form allows people to choose their gender from male, female, non-binary, 'prefer not to say' and 'prefer to self-describe'.

For the sexual orientation section, the form also gives five different options - straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual or other.

Paige and her boyfriend Finley Tapp won the first winter series of the ITV show in South Africa.

The happy couple recently took part in Channel 4's Coach Trip, alongside other stars like Geordie Shore' Sophie Kasaei and James Tindale, RuPaul's Drag Race UK's Ginny Lemon and Sister Sister and more.
