Scots lad goes missing in Munich after night out as brother launches frantic appeal

A frantic search has been launched for a Scottish man who has gone missing in Germany.

Gareth Hicks, who is originally from Forfar but had recently moved to Munich, has not been seen since leaving Blitz nightclub on February 23.

The 32-year-old left the venue unexpectedly and alone before posting a selfie on social media at around 3am.

No one has heard from Gareth since and concerns are now growing for his welfare.

He is described as being 6ft 2, of a medium build with short dark wavy hair and brown eyes.

Gareth was last seen wearing a maroon crew-neck jumper.

His worried brother has made a heartfelt appeal for information to try and locate his loved one.

Stuart Hicks wrote: “Missing - please share, it needs to go international.

“Have you seen Gareth Hicks? The family are very worried and need to know he is safe.”

Anyone with information about Gareth’s whereabouts is asked to contact +44 1983718802 or email matt@lbtrust.org.

Alternatively, people are asked to contact the Lucie Blackman Trust who are supporting the family.
