A Scots holiday park is offering to help distraught families make 'special memories' after cancels trips.
Turnberry Holiday Park in Ayrshire, is aiming to turn a negative situation for a family into something positive by offering them a free five day stay.
The caravan park, in Girvan, posted on their Facebook page this morning in the hope of finding two deserving families who were due to fly out on a holiday tomorrow.
The owners have said they aim to help "create those amazing memories as planned".
Around 150,000 British holidaymakers have been stranded abroad after Thomas Cook ceased trading.
The company was unable to secure the extra £200 million needed to keep the business afloat following a full day of crucial talks with the major shareholder and creditors on Sunday .
Posting on social media, they said: "We are deeply saddened to hear about the unfortunate situation with Thomas Cook this morning.
"We understand that family holidays are a time to get away and make they special memories with those nearest and dearest to you.
"Therefore, we are offering two families who are due to fly out today a free 5 day holiday starting tomorrow at Turnberry Holiday Park.
"Are you due to fly out or know someone who could benefit from this?
"We know it's not the holiday abroad you were expecting however as mentioned before, holidays are a time for family and we hope this will help one family still create those amazing memories as planned."
The post has been shared hundreds of times with many people commenting saying how fantastic a gesture it is.
