A Good Samaritan has given the gift of life to a stranger this Christmas.
Grant McKee, 56, from Cambusnethan in Lanarkshire, donated a kidney and is spending the festive season on his own at home recovering from surgery.
He lost five-and-a-half stone in preparation for the op earlier this month.
Grant, who works for food firm Lightbody, in Hamilton, said: “Someone is going to have a Christmas they never expected and can celebrate.”
