Scots golfer Paul Lawrie's home has its own mini golf course - and he's just slashed his selling price

Scots golfer Paul Lawrie has slashed £225,000 off the price of his luxury mansion, which has its own mini golf course.

The former Open champion is selling the stunning property in Aberdeen and it could be a dream home for sports fanatics. The five-bedroom Victorian villa comes with a US Golf Association standard chipping and putting green with a bunker in its three-acre grounds.

There is also a small fairway and two driving range nets for those who want to practice their swing in the comfort of their own backyard.

Aberdeen star Scott McKenna slammed by fans after Donald Trump tweet

It was put on the market for offers over £2.2million last August after Lawrie and his wife Marian moved to another property nearby. But it has failed to find a buyer and is now being advertised at offers over £1,975,000.

The house also has a gym and games room with full-sized snooker table.

Lawrie, 50, snapped up the house in his home city for £855,000 shortly after winning the Open at Carnoustie in 1999 – the biggest victory of his career.

The 5000 sq ft home in the city’s upmarket Bieldside area also features a self-contained cottage.

Estate agents Savills say the home’s “amazing mini golf course” makes it a star property.
