A Scots schoolgirl's genius attempt to get out off her PE class with a sick note 'from mum' has gone viral.
Six-year-old Myla Smith, from Johnstone, presented her teacher with a handwritten letter claiming it had been written by her mum, Siobhan McLelland.
The cheeky youngster was caught red-handed after spelling errors - and some questioning handwriting - landed the schoolgirl in hot water.
The note read: "Sory Myla cant bo PE today she is sic. From Mylas mum".
Mortified mum Siobhan said she was given the note by Myla's teacher when she collected her daughter from school.
Sharing the note on social media, Siobhan said Myla hates PE and can be a bit of a drama queen.
She added: "When Myla's teacher comes over and tells me she had to sit out the full of p.e today..... this wean man. At least I was high school before I faked the notes. Looks very realistic hun.
"Sory Myla can't do p.e today she is sic".
Siobhan's post gained thousands of likes and hundreds of comments from people who branded the schoolgirl a "genius".
One said: "Would have let her off p.e just for all the effort she made."
Another said: "This is the best thing I've ever seen. She is something else. A+ for trying though."
"This is 100% legit!! I would let her off just coz of her efforts! Well done," added another.
Another said they had tried the same thing at school, adding: "I tried that but they clicked on straight away after saying I had a broken neck."
"Bless her! I bet this made her teacher smile," added another.
